How should the discussion threads be structured for this book? I don't see any actual chapters.

In the Kindle edition, I see three Books and chapters in each.

That's interesting. In the book on Amazon I don't see chapters. So maybe 3 three threads is sufficient. One for each "book," but I don't yet know what is meant by a "book."

I've seen this a lot while beta reading. When it happens, I section the book off by page count. However, if there's no preferred edition, a group might agree to break the book into sections using specific sentences as stop points.

Are we going to add the structure threads? I am almost done with book 1 Chapter 1...made some notes and highlights.

I like the book so far. Very brooding and deep, not a happy story... Lol.

I look forward to reading this with you, Mr. P., and with Brooks127. Others I hope, too. Just going by the start first chapter, I perceive an alien quality for me, which isn't a bad thing in a piece of literature. By alien, I mean the combination of the urban setting, the narrator's lifestyle, and the narrator's experience as a black man. Could hardly be more different from my own life. Yet Baldwin is drawing me in, letting me try to understand.

What's the title of the book? I gave advice on this thread without looking for a title.
