The Wolf of Wall Street - drunken, drug fueled depravity in the late eighties stock market. What a mad film! 3 hours flew by!

La La Land
Finally got around to seeing it before it expired on iplayer. Just fantastic. I watched it twice through. I'm in love with Emma Stone. Beautiful woman, best smile ever and exceptional actress. And Ryan Gosling was the perfect male leading role and a really talented pianist.

Sick which is about a masochist with cystic fibrosis. And his relationship with pain.

The princess bride, such a good story amazing characters, story and dialogue that is memorable and I love Andre the giant.

The never ending story which was a wonderful book as well (I liked how the book character was heavy and how it changed his character a bit from the movie in Which he is slim) the Scene where the horse sinks is so sad and stayed with me for life.

Post Re: What movie has remained with you years after watching it?
"The Conversation' (Francis Ford Coppola, dir., starring Gene Hackman, 1974)

The whole plot revolves around one line-- did the character (played by Frederic Forrest) say, "He'd KILL us if he got the chance," or "He'd kill US if he got the chance."

This is an art-house sort of film, not the epic-type for which Coppola is better known. I think it's Hackman's best performance (he later played an amped-up version of his character in this film in 1986's "Enemy Of The State"). Fantastic supporting cast includes Forrest, Robert Duvall, Harrison Ford, John Cazale, Teri Garr. The film's final scene is the best implosion of a character I've ever seen.

First watched this movie in a film class in college and have watched it dozens of times since.

There's a lot of good films mentioned. It made me happy to see The Conversation.

I highly recommend the 2006 German film, The Lives of Others.

Post Re: What movie has remained with you years after watching it?
The A Team (2010)

One of those totally stupid films that's stupid in a good way and doesn't take itself too seriously. Considering the Fast & Furious is just as silly and is nine films in, I'm surprised the A Team didn't go on to do similar.

I enjoyed it for what it was.

Gone Baby Gone (2007)

Ben Affleck directs his brother in a story about an abducted child. Supporting cast includes Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris. Still very watchable and comes in at just under two hours, so never feels like it dragged on.
