Re: What is your view on an Eating disorder?
An eating disorder is when a person has food on his fork, and tries to insert it into his ear. I help that person by saying that you can't eat food through your ear; you must eat it through your nostril.princesscookie19 wrote:Like the title says, What makes you think that someone has a n eating disorder? Re: What is your view on an Eating disorder?
Eating disorders are complicated. They have different origins and different outcomes, depending on a lot of things. A former student of mine died of anorexia, tragically.
If there is one general principle that I think makes a difference, it is "connection is the opposite of addiction." Connection is not easy, but it is almost the only thing that is vital, and addictions spiral people away from connection.
Maybe we should read something by Brene Brown?
