Fearing End of World, Thief Returns 2,000-Year-Old Artifact After 15 Years
TEL AVIV – An Israeli man returned a 2,000-year-old catapult bolt to the Israel Antiquities Authority some 15 years after he took off with it while visiting the archaeological site of the Jerusalem Walls National Park in the City of David, saying he wanted to clear his conscience before the end of the world....

Oh come on. Nobody believes this fake story. 3,000-year-old wooden caskets well preserved ? Good for some elite archaeologist's career. There are plenty of ways to make convincing fakes.

It sounds pretty convincing to me. I've been reading reports from sources such as The Smithsonian, the Washington Post and the BBC. I've yet to hear of anyone expressing any doubt as to the authenticity of this find.

Post Re: Archeology
A very odd story:

Cerne Abbas Giant is NOT prehistoric and may have been created just a few hundred years ago before becoming a propaganda tool for William of Orange, snail shells reveal
scoopyweb.com/2020/07/cerne-abbas-giant ... toric.html

"... A third theory proposes that the giant was carved in the 17th Century by then land-owner Lord Denzil Holles, perhaps as a parody of Oliver Cromwell, with the club a reference to his repressive rule and the phallus to mock his Puritanism. ..."
