Damn--I thought there was a chance that the SOTU address would be passed over entirely, which could have led to its demise. That would have been one break with norms that I would have cheered Trump for. Blame W. Wilson for reviving the address after a 112-year lapse. At least his lasted only 9 minutes.

If it were anyone but Trump I'd agree. While Trump will have prepared speech written by talented people and vetted six ways from Sunday, the man will extemporize. I look forward to Trump's comments when he rambles off script.
