Re: we are reverting back to caveman communication
Maybe I am just an old fogey, but as I understand it, if I post a picture, etc. on Facebook, any of my 'friends' can then post it to their 'friends' and on down the line. I guess I just like my privacy too much.

My friend who has a facebook page that's used primarily as a running club community says that whenever two people who had a relationship break it off they often have to take themselves completely off Facebook and return at a later date because all their information as a couple takes a while to stop circulating.Cattleman wrote:Maybe I am just an old fogey, but as I understand it, if I post a picture, etc. on Facebook, any of my 'friends' can then post it to their 'friends' and on down the line. I never post sensitive information about myself on either FB or Twitter; I post/advertise just my website, my book and my art. I do comment on other people's posts, they seem to need "likes" and comments .

I suppose it is a good way to keep in touch with family.
In times past people of wealth and royalty would have self portraits adorning their palace walls as signs of status/prestige.
I suppose Facebook can be the virtual substitute of the aforementioned behavior.

Most companies check on their employees pages, before and after hiring them. I know a person who was fired for posting pics making fun of something they were asked to do at work. Shocked me but didn't surprise me though.
