I don't have access to regular TV, but this is the best stuff I've been able see since the Deadwood series on HBo and many of the same actors are involved; it's episodic in timeframe, so of course its important to follow the adventures in order...much like reading the works of josef conrad
Oh a comparison to Conrad. I love it!

since you're a movie nerd, I guarantee you'd like the British film version of OUTCAST OF THE ISLAND, starring Trevor Howard. In fact, if you like Conrad, there's a plethora of films; of course the most famous, I guess, being Peter O'Toole as LORD JIM.

Netflix sometimes changes bits and pieces of the movies, I assume for licensing reasons. We watched Anger Management once and some of the dialogue was different, and sometimes they change the theme music. So it's worth getting your hands on the DVD if it's something you're really into, just to make sure you're getting the original material.
Between Netflix and the library, we haven't wanted cable in six years. Bonus: my kids are not subjected to any commercials when they watch TV, so every conversation with them doesn't start with "Mom I want that!" (Only when we go to Wal mart.)

Hello Rosered 97 and welcome to BookTalk. I have noticed changes in Netflix streamed movies too. Doesn't seem right, I thought Netflix pays for the rights to stream movies. A good movie I found on Netfix is, "All is Lost" with Robert Redford. I watched this movie in bed under the covers. Wound up biting my covers and hugging my pillows. Great movie!

Right now I am hooked on, "Once Upon a Time", a TV series. What can I say, I love fairy tales, and I'm a girl.

I've been wanting to get into Once Upon a Time. I've seen the first couple of episodes and it looks really good. That and Supernatural.
