The Folly of Scientism

Unread post

Here is an excellent overview of "scientism" which is roughly the belief that science answers to nothing, bestows upon itself an explanatory "blank check" and is the only true source of knowledge. More harshly, it is a slanted, blind ideological adherence to Science as an Omnipotent Oracle.

Several people here deny they engage regularly in Scientism.
They, to put it bluntly, lie.

Thanks

Nope. Didn't see the post.

Point me to it.
I have a love/hate relationship with him based on the talks I've listened to.
Have not read any of his books.

You should give this article a shot. Ignoring it would be too easy for some people.
