So this is where people go to discuss great books

Hello everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a life-long lover of books, currently living outside Washington D.C. I used to be huge into practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, but an injury now allows me to spend all of my free time reading and writing. (the glass is always half-full)

I enjoy reading authors like J.M. Coetzee and John Steinbeck, but I find my writing to be more in the vein of Michael Crichton (my childhood inspiration). It's great to find a place where everyone meets to discuss great books. Thanks for having a site like this.

Great books, or sometimes not so great books. Greatness, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. :? You will find a wide diversity of views here, but we don't bite (at least not hard :wink:). Jump right in, and welcome. :)
