Re: Jonathan Haidt resources to explore
I find Haidt's work very interesting (I love the work on moral dumbfounding), but I often disagree with his explanations and interpretations of his research. I'm looking forward to reading the book, but may be a slightly late starter depending on when my copy arrives.
Another resource that people might find interesting is a website Haidt and a couple of others have been running for a few years and it looks like the Righteous Mind might be closely related to it. It has a good section on "understanding the other side" of politics for conservatives and liberals.

I would really like to read along, but it will depend on if I can get a copy of the book. Here is something that might be interesting, a website run by Haidt that you can take his Morality Quiz. It might be fun to do before reading the book.

Don't say it - I know this discussion is basically over, but I am a slow thinking kind gal (I don't mean slow in that way ), no fast thinking going on here I'm afraid (I do plan to get to that book too at some point). I thought that Mr. Haidt's profile page on UVA's site was interesting and had lots of links - thought I'd share in case there are other slow pokes like myself.
