What a great way to start my day - poetry! Thanks for posting. Will there be more articles or was this a one time plug for the book?

I'm not certain since this is not a new book. But the Guardian seems to be running it again.

This book is in my computer bag and I read a few pages now and then. (It's a nice small little book.) Fenton goes into a lot of really esoteric stuff, but now at least I have a sense of iambic tetrameter, trochee, and trochaic rhythm. Interspersed throughout, of course, are samples of poetry, Blake, Tennyson, Shakespeare, etc. The book is copyrighted 2002, so it's interesting that The Guardian is excerpting it now.
