Re: Classic fiction group discussion
I have never read Moby Dick but I actually picked up the book 2nd hand years ago.
Don't know when I can start reading it as I have a 600 plus doorstop I have to read with another book club reading site.

I would prefer Dickens, Austen,Eliot or Bronte, but will join in on Melville is that is the decision.

Re: Classic fiction group discussion
"Moby Dick" choosen as our first classic group fiction discussion novel!!
We can choose a Dickens next go round.
I am really hoping this classic fiction discussion is something that can be maintained as a regular feature, we have the interest, and we certainly have a wealth of novels to choose from. We will start this discussion in March. It would be great to incorportate some history into the discussion as well. American maritime history as well as the whale ship Essex. Chris will set up this forum and once it is up maybe we can have a conversation as to how to structure the discussion choose a discussion leader.
I'm mentally transmitting beautiful cetacea rapsodies to Robert Tulip!
