Hi,
I've just signed up here and I'm looking forward to meeting people and talking about books! I'm a female nearing retirement, and I have at the moment about six boxes of unread books (don't ask how many "already read" books I've got!) I read just about anything, although I really like historical mysteries, fantasy, classical science fiction (Asimov, Clarke, Niven, etc.), anything about Tudor and medieval England, the Harry Potter series, and all of Terry Pratchett's works. However, I'll read anything if it catches my interest. I share my house with 2 cats and have a parttime job ... not in a book store, luckily.

Welcome to Book Talk from another Canadian. You're with a very active and welcoming group and I'm sure you will find enough book discussions and other topics to keep you as involved as you want to be.

From Kelowna BC here! Also a big fan of Pratchett, though I've only read a few so far.

His work is amazing ... it's all such a great satire on reality. I haven't yet bought his last book, The Shepherd's Crown ... hope to get it soon.

Welcome to BookTalk.org. :-)

I'm an Asimov fan and fantasy would be my favorite genre.
