Mike Philbin says 'hello' from Oxford UK

Unread post

well, it's my first post on Booktalk, so Hello to you all.

I've been on Goodreads for a while now, as a writer and reviewer and group moderator. Thought it time I got on Booktalk and found out what's really going on in the recent release world.

I'm a big fan of Philip K Dick, Octavia Butler, Haruki Murakami and Cordwainer Smith. Maybe there are like-minded readers here.

I'm currently working on my latest novel TANDEM (A G3 Whistleblower Novel), about the War World we're all living in.

How do you get into Shout Box? Not Chat Room, shoutbox? Cheers.

Hi Mike,

Welcome to the community. :-)

I forget how have the Shoutbox set up. I think you have to have "X" number of posts to post in the Shoutbox. Probably 10. But don't advertise your books there. The Shoutbox is for casual chatting between members. You can advertise your books in the Fiction Book Forum or Non-Fiction Book Forum.

Shouting in the shoutbox is perfect! LOL Just keep it casual. The forums are for the more serious discussions.

no other conversation since this last one?

(pouts)

I thought this was a buzzin' place to discuss all sorts of literary interests ... I'll start, "Haruki Murakami, Chuck Palahniuk, Cordwainer Smith..."
