Interested in samurai...

Unread post

It said I needed something more interesting than "hello" in the descriptive thread.

But anyway, hello! I'm a female from London. :)

I'm an author and freelance editor in the process of setting up my own publishing business. I'm writing a historical fiction series set in 19th century Japan, hence the subject line of this post. Heh. I am always looking for other writers and readers because we are a very niche group, but very friendly when we find each other. :)

Facts about me:

I love anime and manga and cosplay, and I'm older than you think!
I trained for eleven years in egyptology
I've worked in tv, editing treatments and press releases
I study Japanese swordsmanship; I'm not very good, but I am enthusiastic

Pleased to meet y'all. :D

Welcome Djeda!

glad to have you with us.

I've always loved samurai and ninjas! I think the samurai armor has a better aesthetic than the plate armor of europe.

Is this the virtue of faith? To never change your mind: especially when you should?

Young Earth Creationists take offense at the idea that we have a common heritage with other animals. Why is being the descendant of a mud golem any better?

Cosplay = costume + play, for anyone wondering. I always think of the scantily clad Firiona Vie that showed up at a party for Halloween back when I was an EQ geek.

Thanks guys! :) Not to disappoint, but I don't do much of the scantily clad! I prefer the cultural stuff, which, fortunately for me, is quite modest!
