Page 93 of The Nature of Visual Illusion

It appears that my hunch, if not on target, may at least be close. Page 93 shows two blocks of letters, separated by a blank column. One is to stare at both columns with the corresponding eye until a stereo image is perceived.

I will try to post the tableau here by tomorrow.
