I am doing my MBA project about how small publishers* can improve content, findability and branding and how they can help raders suffer less from OVERCHOICE (being overwhelmed and having difficulty deciding when there are too many choices available and even causing you to be dissatisfied with the selected option) and have 1 week to collect data.


I am asking you to take an ANONYMOUS, remote 12 minutes online survey about your preferences, experiences and beliefs.

NO personal, sensitive or confidential information is required. Your data will not be shared with anyone else and there are no controversial, sensitive, shocking or any other type of possibly harmful elements in the survey.

** Digital publishers in my research refers to everyone that writes digital books, including self-publishers. Actually, this is mainly for them. As there are a LOT of books on Amazon which are self-published and not a lot of reviews, my main aim to find out what readers would need to discover these new authors and know enough about each book in order to want to buy it. So i am trying to find out if, for example, free samples or detailed synopses is what readers are after or maybe just a good cover or if nothing really convinces them unless the book is recommended by a trusted source, and so on. I am not that interested in the big publishing companies as they already have a brand and they place themselves at the top of the search results, in the webpages etc. This is actually a major area of concern for digital markets - that the marketplace is dominated and even owned by the big companies and they have the power to promote themselves over their competitors, who have no other choice but to accept these conditions. My project is about helping little companies and small authors. **

Thank you so much! I thought it would be annoying as there a a few ranking questions that take time. I tried to mix them between the quick ones but still thought people may hate it. Knowing you found it easy puts me at ease thinking people may not drop it along the way. Many, many thanks!!
