HELLO FROM HASTINGS

Unread post

:)My name is Linda Taylor and I am a retired lady, born and bred in Hastings in East Sussex England. Hastings boasts 1066 and all that and has a lovely Old Town- with fishing huts, stade and quaint tudor style houses. It began as a small fishing village. And I do appreciate living by the sea.. capturing all its moods. I love to read but am rather stuck in the past regarding authors. Much admire people like Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde, Irish Murdoch, Beryl Bainbridge, Susan Hill. I have tried to read more modern writers, but I struggle with them! I dont think I really belong to this era!
I also enjoy Conan Doyle and recently discovered that the writer E Benson, who lived close by in Rye, and wrote MAPP AND LUCIA novels, which were televised, wrote over 100 books. so I have been reading some more of him!
I have run out of things to say!

kind regards to all who read this

LINDA.
