Re: Hello everyone
Welcome! You and I have some of the same tastes, apparently, though admittedly, I just started reading nonfiction somewhat recently, mostly due to my newfound fascination with Aaron Burr.
Anyway, this is your thread, not mine. What science fiction have you read lately, and/or what are some of your favorites?

Recently I just finished Wool... I think it started off great, but lost momentum halfway through. But great characters and really intriguing world though. My faves are probably the Ender's Game series. Read those books years ago, but still close to my heart. How about you?

Re: Hello everyone
Since you mentioned Ender's Game, I loved it but it's been years so the details aren't so fresh in my head anymore and I never bothered seeing the movie. But I really enjoyed the book a lot.
Right now I'm reading "Small favor" by Jim Butcher. I'm a huge fan of the Dresden Files. I think that's the tenth book in that particular series. The last book I read before that was a Feast for Crows (George R.R. Martin). Compared to the books that came before it in the series, it was a little bit of a letdown for me. I've got my first Steven Erikson book sitting on the shelf at home waiting for me to finish Small Favor. It's Gardens of the Moon, as I have been dying to start the Malazan series ever since reading some of the discussion about it on this site.
