Greetings from a (very) cool Edinburgh

Hi all
Looking forward to becoming part of the booktalk community. Some of my favourite authors are D H Lawrence, Thomas Hardy, Anthony Burgess, Emile Zola, Milan Kundera, Muriel Spark, Hermann Hesse, Daphne du Maurier. The non fiction that I read tends to be political history - either recent or ancient Roman with some artist/author biographies. I'm currently reading The Pike, biog of Gabriele D'Annunzio.
As a writer my big inspirations are the original Ian Fleming Bond books and Italian gialli as well as all of the above!
