Einstein: His LIfe and Universe
(Via audio book) "Einstein: His Life and Universe" by Walter Isaacson. So far this is a very interesting book. It not only explores Einstein's theories and work. but his personal life, including his family, friends, and romantic relationships. And I have learned that a lot of folklore around Einstein is misplaced. He did not fail high school math, and his low marks in college were mainly attributable to his rebellious streak (not surprising, concerning the lock-step approach used by his teachers), and not due to any lack on intelligence.

Re: Einstein: His LIfe and Universe
I've had this book for a long time though I haven't started it yet. One interesting fact (to me anyway) is that Einstein was quite the violin player - perhaps you will learn that this is folklore as well! I hope not though because it reminds of something Ludwig van Beethoven said about music being a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy. I can only imagine how an Einstein sonata or concerto would compare to the bomb. I've met an actual Einstein and he was as sharp as could be.

Although I am still pretty early in the book, and his life, according to Isaacson, Einstein was quite the accomplished violinist.

Re: Einstein: His LIfe and Universe
My mom sometimes gets free books through volunteering with the library. One of the books she got for me was a 2-in-1 volume of Einstein's book on relativity and a book of his essays which were collected throughout his life. Of course I haven't started reading it yet, but I can't wait to.
