Conservatives don't want martial law, we want rule of law. Leftists would have been implementing martial law by now if Clinton had been elected. It's a testament to Trump's restraint that he hasn't. He has the legal tools at his disposal but he hasn't used them. Yet.

Lincoln had to impose martial law when the Confederacy broke away. Special circumstances. We're facing pretty much the same circumstances now. Leftists (being led by George Soros, Hillary Clinton and the like) are the new rebels. Sanctuary cities are little breakaway areas where employees refuse to enforce federal immigration law. They're insurgents in the Civil War sense of the word. Martial law would remove local insurgents from office, give them swift but fair trials and then deal with them accordingly. And a conservative, rule-of-law Supreme Court would validate the proceedings. That's what the Leftists in charge are terrified of, being held legally accountable for the things they've done.

The Kavanaugh confirmation may determine whether we see martial law. Republicans control the administrative process, yet they're allowing Leftists to control the proceedings. If Republicans try to delay the vote until after the upcoming election, then that will be proof that the swamp creatures in Washington (both Dem and Rep) are working in concert. And if the US Senate denies the American people a full Supreme Court, then the President may feel that he has to step in and deal with the situation.

As far as Obama, drugs are a given. He admitted to using drugs in his Dreams of My Father book. But there was a lot he didn't admit to. A brief bio of Obama;

Legal name: Barry Soetoro.
Place of birth: Nobody knows for sure. His birth certificate is a forgery.
Father: Frank Marshal Davis, rabid American communist.
Political mentor: Bill Ayers, murdering terrorist.
Hero: Saul Alinsky, America hater.
Sexuality: Bi- or homosexual.
Pastimes: Drugs & dudes.
Ambition: To bring America down with jihad.

You seem to lack self awareness. You just posted an article by Mike Adams that advocated martial law, mass arrests, military tribunals, seizing control of mass media, disbanding the FBI, suspending elections, and much more.

Stop lying to yourself, far from not wanting martial law, it is obvious you. can. not. wait. for. it. to. be. imposed!

Sorry. I certainly enjoy visiting the Fox News comments website. It's the funniest site on the web, IMHO. It's just plain nuts on that site -- I laugh like crazy.

Other than that, I take absolutely nothing on Fox News seriously unless I confirm it about 4 different ways; I've lost trust in CNN, I now need to check NY Times stories, and I had to cancel my ACLU membership after Citizens United v. Board of Elections. I am not having fun out here.

I don't remember why I posted what I posted and I don't want to figure it out. I'm gonna go with, "My bad." Okay?

I have not posted here in I don't know how long because I cannot do the Trump/Obama/Hillary/emails/Kavanaugh/Ford thing anymore. I just can't take it -- every politician in the U.S. should be ashamed. I mean a lot more ashamed than they should be on average.

So maybe after the midterms, if I find a way to stick to books, I'll start posting again. Nothing personal. I'm at fault as much as the next guy, I just can't wrap my ahead around what's going on in DC.

My regards to all and sundry.

Sorry to hear it. I can't say I blame you. When I read or hear a lot of the psychotic discussion going on, it really makes me wonder why people are so willing to sacrifice civility and, well, good sense. I don't get the craziness.

I kind of agree with that, too. I see a few who seem to honestly care, but most seem to be caught up in a sad push and shove.

Well, your insights and comments were appreciated. You will be missed.

You lost me on that one. But enjoy the Atlantic. You can get most of it online, if necessary.

I was intrigued to learn the other day that Ted Cruz was born in Canada. As far as I know, no one challenged his right to be President. (He's white, after all - so why would they?)

The experts say he qualifies as a "natural born citizen" because his mother was an American citizen. Doesn't that also imply that Obama was a natural born citizen even if he was born in Kenya, or Mexico, or Indonesia, or Burkina Faso? I'm a bit puzzled (but the whole birther movement was too crazy to take seriously, so I am not seriously puzzled.)

Deep State people in Washington probably look at Kavanaugh and see their executioner. If the Supreme Court becomes solidly conservative, then a bunch of people may have to pay for a bunch of crimes. Senator Dianne Feinstein, for example. She and her husband have made perhaps billions of dollars off of trading with the communist Chinese. The senator recently had to fire her chauffeur of 20 years when it was revealed that he was a ChiCom spy. If we return to a true "justice" system in America, then Feinstein will be fairly tried and executed for treason. And all of Washington knows this. The last thing that the Deep State governmental bureaucracy can permit is a Supreme Court that might return to interpreting law according to the constitution.

Feinstein’s Close China Ties Under Scrutiny After Chinese Spy Discovery

Kavanaugh accuser Blasey Ford appears to have lied, about a lot of things, but damn...in her opening statement?:

Perjury? Dr. Ford Is Not A Licensed Psychologist
yournewswire.com/perjury-dr-ford-not-li ... chologist/

Ford and her family are also tied to the Deep State's CIA/Google. Her brother is linked to Fusion GPS, which is linked to the fake dossier that was used in the FBI’s failed Trump sting:

EXPOSED: Christine Blasey Ford Has Deep Ties To The C.I.A.
themillenniumreport.com/2018/09/exposed ... o-the-cia/

And the women who confronted Sen. Flake in the elevator are not what they appear to be. That scene was staged for your home viewing entertainment. Flake had to have “motivation” to delay the proceedings, so some scriptwriters gave us that:

WOMEN SCREAMING AT FLAKE IN ELEVATOR Were Soros-Funded Astroturfed Activist Leaders! — NOT VICTIMS
thegatewaypundit.com/2018/09/women-scre ... e-victims/

We’ll get back to the soap opera tomorrow I guess, and by then there should be 3-4 more pee pee accusations against Kavanaugh. And maybe they’ll make him an ax murderer. Or a racist, definitely a racist.

In what I find to be the most surreal twist to this spectacle, a 3-D replica of the Arch of Palmyra was erected in front of the US capitol building on the day before the Kavanaugh/Ford testimony:

Arch of Baal Erected in DC the Day Before Brett Kavanaugh Testified to Congress

According to the official website of the Institute for Digital Archaeology, the Arch of Palmyra was unveiled on the National Mall on Sept. 26, and it will remain there until Sept. 29. ... Just one day after this arch was put up, Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford testified before Congress. Perhaps this is all just a "giant coincidence," but things of this importance usually don't happen by accident.

The elite deeply understand that symbols have power, and the fact that the Arch of Baal has been placed directly across from the U.S. Capitol is highly significant....

The original arch was at the entrance to the temple of Baal. You had to pass through it on your way to rituals where children were sacrificed. Some people say that the resistance to Kavanaugh is due to him being anti-abortion. 60 million babies have been aborted in America since the Supreme Court issued its Roe v Wade decision. Overturn that decision (and stop the human sacrifices) and that would be a major blow to the Luciferian/Satanist folk. They’d have a lot of ‘splaining to do to Lucifer. So maybe abortion IS the at the heart of the Kavanaugh business. The fact that the city of Washington would allow the Arch of Baal to be set up on our national mall shows that somebody’s trying to influence SOMETHING.

Anyway, if Kavanaugh's nomination is shot down, the next in line will most likely be Amy Barrett. She's a Christian and a mother of seven. And Kavanaugh is downright liberal compared to her. It will interesting to hear how many men she raped while she was in college.

The rate of abortions in the U.S. is now lower than just before Roe v Wade, according to the Guttmacher Institute and wikipedia.

The number of women killed, injured or seriously endangered by attempted abortions is hugely less. I personally know a woman who lost her fertility due to a botched illegal abortion in the early 70s.

Looks to me like Moloch (Baal?) would prefer Kavanaugh. More slaughter.

To use sources as uncritically as you do is not even "kinda" scholarly.

Most folks on BookTalk at least attempt to engage in skeptical thinking. KindaSkolarly seems lost in a tightening vortex of confirmation bias.
