Hey guys,
I just finished reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King, it was for sure his best in a while, much less horror than a lot of his previous stuff, but still had one of those classic gut wrenching, "why did I read this?!" ending.
Also for the second time, I'm reading The Long Walk, which was actually the first King book I ever read. I was twelve and i picked it up at the library my mom told me to read it, the sick woman, haha.
Salem's Lot I've never read but so many people say it's one of his best.
Whats your favorite Stephen King or horror book and why??

Hey guy,
Never heard of 11/22/63. What is it about and how old is it?
My favorite is everythings eventual. Like the spooky spirit and the narrater of the audiobook.

hey misty,
I'm new to this site too, yea we're newbies!! haha. nope my name is peter straub, lol. It's Maria, and my favorite stephen king book is definitly The Stand, not even a question.
Hi peter,
11/22/63 is actually stephen kings newest book it just came out not a couple months ago, its about a guy who finds a time portal, and tries to stop the assassination of JFK. The funny thing is it wasn't really fantasy like, the way King told it, he wrote it more like its perfectly natural to find a rip in time at your local diner. Which is why I liked it so much.

My first name Peter is correct.
The last name I borrowed from another good author.
11/22/63 sounds very interesting. Must read it soon.

Right- Straub- you must love his books as well? What's your favorite? I have to confess I haven't read a Stephen King book for years. I loved his older stuff- back in the 80's and early 90's. The newer stuff lost my interest. What's one new King book you'd recommend?
Thanks,
Misty

Just started with Straub books, where he writes allone. I read Whispers. It is not bad, a bit misterious.
Full Dark, No Stars is one of the newer King books, a collection of few tales. I liked them, as usual.
