Re: What music do you listen to when you write?

Metal. The more extreme, the better. Especially like pure instrumentals. :-D   Wow! I'm too easily distracted to be able to write or focus with anything but classical playing lightly. I play the drums and even music with percussion is distracting. I cannot iamgine listening to metal...

Re: Book cover designs

In other words, the main factor in cover design has become how to make people buy the book instead of how it harmoniously reflects the content. You're probably right about this. But if I were an author I'd have to do the same thing. Ultimately, most authors want their books to be read by the widest...

Re: old/rare books discussion

Good morning, I come here because I am looking for sites/forums or discussion circles specialized in rare and old books. I am interested in first editions, original editions or incunabula. Whether in general literature (I like Dostoeivsky for example) or otherwise. I am interested in all kinds of s...

Re: repurposing books

I've donated at least 500 books to several local libraries and it always feels good to know someone else might enjoy them. I can't imagine throwing a book in the garbage so I shouldn't have even jokingly suggested that in my previous post above.

Re: Do you believe in God?

Hello, There was a time I did believe wholeheartedly that God existed. Unfortunately life and the state of the world and amount of evil in the world makes me seriously question if he exists. I completely agree. When you look around and see so much pain and suffering, and then you are told that ther...

Re: repurposing books

OK, I'll bite! What book is this that is troubling you so much? You always could throw it in the garbage, donate it to a library, or light it on fire. But please tell us the name of this book! :hmm:

I'd appreciate some feedback.
You're a better writer than I am so stick with it. I like how this reads. I'll try to finish it soon. But the first few pages are written well.
