Casual Chat Every Thursday at 9:00 pm Eastern in the BookTalk.org Chat Room!

Please join us for a casual chat every single Thursday at 9:00 pm Eastern in the BookTalk.org Chat Room. Years ago we did these casual chats and our chat room was filled with members. We all had a blast! So we're bringing the chats back and we hope you'll get involved. All members and visitors are welcome to participate. :)

What will we discuss?

We don't necessarily have a topic; hence the term "casual chat." Approach these chats as you would coffee with good friends. We're all book lovers so books are one possible area for discussion. But anything and everything under the sun is up for discussion so don't worry about being prepared. These chats are primarily for getting to know each other more intimately and for building meaningful and personal friendships with one another. If we can get these weekly chats back up and running we will bring back live chats with authors too. So there is your incentive to help make this work. 8)

"But I don't live in the Eastern time zone!"

Relax! As long as you live somewhere, and I bet you do, then 9:00 pm Eastern can be converted to your local time. To see what time you should be in the BookTalk.org chat room you can use a Time Zone Converter.

  • Pacific Time: 6:00 pm
  • Mountain Time: 7:00 pm
  • Central Time: 8:00 pm
  • Eastern Time: 9:00 pm

So if you're Texas you'd need to be in the chat room at 8:00 pm Central Time. If you're in California you'd need to be in the chat room at 6:00 pm Pacific Time. If you're in London, England you'd be 5 hours head so your correct time for the chat would be 4:00 pm. And our friends in or around Sydney Australia will need to be in the chat room at 11:00 am on Friday.
