BookTalk.org has long recognized the need for authors to be able to effectively promote their books independently of publishers or advertising agencies. On this page we provide all of the information you need to get started, and have your banner ad appear in the location(s) of your choice on our website.
You may also want to read our Promote Your Book on BookTalk.org page for other ideas on how to promote your book to BookTalk.org members and visitors.
The first step is to decide on the ad locations and durations that you prefer. These choices are explained in the table below along with pricing and purchase buttons. When you've decided on the best positioning for your ad, the next step is to submit payment through the secure PayPal buttons below. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can still use your credit card to checkout securely with PayPal without even having to sign up for PayPal.
We require most banner ads on BookTalk.org to be 380x160 pixels in size. Settling on one size allows us to better position your ads throughout our site. If you can create your own 380x160 banner, you can email it to us at email@example.com, along with where you would like the banner ad to link to. We recommend linking to your book on Amazon.com because everyone knows how to place book orders there.
But the choice is yours.
If you don't have the ability to create your own banner, and would like us to create one for you, we are happy to do so. We charge an additional $30 for this service, which can be paid using the bottom "Miscellaneous Ad Payment and Banner Design Fee" payment button. We have created hundreds of banners for authors over the years, and you can view a selection of past and present banner ads on our banner ad portfolio page.
We handle the ad process manually to make sure your ad is done professionally. It isn't automated. So we must receive both your ad payment and a separate email with your banner image, if you're creating your own banner. If you have us create your banner ad, we will talk to you by email about your preferences so that we can create the look you want.
The following pages/ads work a little differently:
To advertise in the above 3 ad slots all you need to do is send us your payment, along with a link to your book on Amazon.com and we'll handle the rest. These ads display your book cover image, title, author name and whether your book is fiction or non-fiction. No other text. New ads are added to the top left position of each page.
If you have any questions or need help getting started, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll be happy to assist.
Thank you for supporting BookTalk.org with your ad!
