Post Re: A Game of Thrones: A Song of Ice and Fire: Book One: Ch. 56 through 63
chapter 57 page 631 has an interesting hint about Jon's parentage; " Rhaegar Targaren urged his horse past his own wife, the Dornish princess Elia Martell, to lay the queen of beauty's laurel in Lyanna's lap. He could see it still: a crown of winter roses, blue as frost." This memory of Ned's, creates the possibility of a Targaren/Stark offspring, Consider also the promise Ned made Lyanna on her death bed.

We know that Robert loved Lyanna very much, but we don't know how Lyanna felt. I just assumed that Robert would be the father, but I cannot do that now. I do believe that Jon Snow is Lyanna's child. If Rhaegar is the father of Jon, that would make some trouble for Dany. Thanks for the quote Taylor.
