I think our socio economic demographic pyramid should look a lot like a normal pyramid, like on your dollar but flat at the bottom instead of pointed with dying people.
I'm rather quite leery of pyramid schemes myself, seems to me if your at the bottom your crushed, if your at the top and you look down your starring at the sharp end of a goliath and surrounded by four slippery slope's, but that's beside the point, what I'm personally curious about is you. Tell us something about yourself DL, something other than Gnostic Christianity or Socialism. Tell me something of the mechanism's you might use to produce some much needed wealth redistribution for the sole purpose of medicating, educating, and feeding the worlds poor. Thanks
Starting with a fair tax system would be a good start. Value added taxes are regressive and force the poor to pay a lot more as a percentage of income from what the rich pay and that is patently unjust yet governments use that to underwrite what they do not get from the rich. Taxes should be on income only as that is not regressive like VATs are.

As to the process of wealth redistribution, most governments already have safety nets in place. It is just a matter of having the rich use some of their excesses and disposable income to bring the demographic pyramid to what it should look like.

Have a look at this eye opener and what we are quite able to do if we can persuade governments or the rich. It, surprisingly, would take very little effort or hardship to the ultra rich and the rest of society.
