Re: What movie scared you when you were a kid?
So you went and posted a video? Mean! I jest. I wasn't afraid of it because I watched it too late in the game. I rewatched it a few weeks ago and thought it was kind of disturbing in a "that little girl shouldn't be saying those things!" kind of way.

Every spring my mom would make us kids watch The Wizard of Oz. In part because it was such a classic and in part as a warning about the power of nature and the danger of tornadoes. The flying monkeys still give me the creeps.

Mm. Oddly enough, I got scared of Interview with a Vampire. But I think that was also because there were some news castings about people who would sharpen their teeth into fangs and went around biting people, claiming they were of the blood sucking variety.
Also, movies that had people jumping from behind corners. I hate that.

Just... any movie with someone jumping out? Interesting. :]
I used to fear E.T..... just... something about him made me want to cry. I haven't watched it since, and frankly, I don't plan to.

Ahhh, I watched it yesterday. A surprising amount of people liked it.... but I laughed through the whole thing. I think it was just.... too much. Especially the ending It was better than Exorcist: The Beginning. That one was awful. There were a few parts that did make me jump, I will admit that.

Poltergeist was the only horror movie that I like, because to this day, it gives me goosebumps to watch it. It was psychologically terrifying, not in your face gory.
