Sure, but why do some people feel this lessens the reality of existence? It is just ridiculous, semantic, philosophical bullshit games. It is a way for those who want the supernatural to be 'real' to bring down to a lower level the solid evidence we all see...since there is no way to bring the 'make believe' up to a respectable level. It is just a way to cast doubt on everything so that anything is believeable.
Plato's Cave is a entertaining story, but it really means absolutely nothing, IMO.
