Robert, I too don't like the Recent Topics block and will work on finding a better solution.

Iluvbookz13, I don't see this problem you mention. Can you be more specific? What do you think is causing it? What size monitor are you using? What resolution?

Sadly, no, this won't be done. We're using a completely different thanks mod, and trying to import the old data at this point would likely involve more work than it's worth.

There's no reason that if you're reading through old posts which you thanked before, that you can't thank them again now.

1280 x 1024 px resolution.

13.5 inches wide x 10.5 inches high. Fairly small monitor. It makes me scroll to the right on the front page to see about 1/4 of the page.

Also, the url BBCode isn't working for me. Posting is laggy, too.

Change the URL BBCode please! Make it target _blank because I had a huge post that I lost because I clicked a link here, and it didn't save what I typed up.

You should not be clicking on links when you're in the process of posting a message. The only time we'll make links open in a new window is when they are off-site links. Launching new windows at any other time would be extremely annoying to members. What link did you click? If it was off-site it should have launched a new window and I'd appreciate you pointing out links that need to be edited.

Your monitor is extremely small and we cannot design this site for 13.5 inch monitors.

And posting is definitely not lagging. It has never been faster.

phpBB3 does handle links a bit differently when they're in posts. Still, you should be able to click back and continue writing a post if you accidentally click on something. The best way to handle it in any browser is to right click a link like that, and specify to open it in a new tab (for FF) or a new window (for MSIE).

The width issue on the home page can be solved, it's on the list, and while you do have a small screen your resolution should be displaying pages correctly on this site. We are aware of the homepage issue.

When you say the url bbcode isn't working for you, can you elaborate on that? Can you also tell me which browser you're using, and any extensions or addons you have installed in it? That information might help me figure out why you're experiencing a slowdown when posting too. It's possible, though unlikely, that your browser is having trouble with one of the javascript files used to present the post editor, or something like that.

As always, the more information you can provide, the better the quality of my answers.

I'm using IE8 and occasionally FF (whatever the newest version is.) My screen is tiny, so it's expected that it has some problems XD

The BBCode works fine now. What I was trying to explain was that when I tried to use the BBCodes for URIs, it did not work and instead displayed the url stuff.

(No, I was not using lesser and greater, I was using [brackets.])
