Voices from Cyberspace: An Educational Escapade

Unread post

Hello, everyone. I'm new here, and I have a story to tell.

In Spring 2000 I joined an online book club, thereadersvine.com, to see what I could learn about philosophy. My main objective was to develop my understanding of epistemology, the study of human knowing.

Our philosophy BB discussions produced an astounding result: after five months, we independently recreated Karl Popper’s Three Worlds Theory of human understanding. My report indicates how I applied my experience of studying science and my lifelong interest in critical thinking to the discussion, and how my correspondents reacted in various ways to my somewhat flamboyant editorial style.

If you have an interest in philosophy, educational psychology or online education, then you may be interested in my report: Voices from Cyberspace: An Educational Escapade

It's at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CTTKK1O#_

If you check it out, I’d be happy to discuss it with you.

Mike
