XIII-3- HD and Apocalypse Now. The Marais plantation.

XIII- 3- The scene with the Marais family and their rubber plantation in Cambodia at the end of the film (Redux version).
It seemed a little incongruous at first, but then not really.
When I watched the DVD, I wondered if I had been asleep when I first watched the movie as it hardly looked like a scene I wouldn't notice.
Then I read in Wikipedia that it was one of the scenes that I had been cut in the first version.
I have a lot to say about this episode of course, in relation to both the novella and the setting of Apocalypse Now.
