Just throwing this out as a pretty cool, interesting resource:
http://www.ranker.com/fact-lists/books/genre
I'm thinking about signing up for an account here and creating my own books list. What I think I may do is include something like "Free Fiction eBooks" or "Low-Cost Fiction eBooks," because while I see a LOT of very, very great genres listed, I think it might be good to help those looking for cheap reads too. Has anyone used Ranker before for book listing? If so, what was your experience? I fell down a (nice) rabbit hole with this last night and wound up reading list after list (and voting). Anyway, just curious. And if you have specific suggestions, please let me know - I am reading all of the posts in this forum and writing stuff down like crazy!
If I make a list I'll post it so you all can see.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but there's a site called Smashwords that publishes only electronic books, and there are tons of free and/or cheap ones to choose from. It's at:LaraP wrote:if you have specific suggestions, please let me know

If you're into religious fiction...
Check out The 12th Disciple. Very timely with Occupying Wall Street and other political meltdowns occurring across the nation.

Re: Fiction Books Genre
The book I love again and again is Holes by Louis Sacher- though I'm not sure what genre it fits into.
As a 'grown up' reader, I love anything by Ian McEwan- the romantic detailed unfolding descriptions are classic in their rhetoric and disclosure.
