Hi, I'm Shannon (female) from Connecticut and as the subject line says, I'm here because I love discussing books, debating, learning and I'd like to meet some new people.
I generally like reading sci-fi and fantasy books, but recently have gotten into more non-fiction and essay-type things. I'm interested in broadening my reading and possibly music horizons
I enjoy reading, science (especially physics and things related to engineering) and especially videogames (though I'm not all that good). I may be a slight meme addict
I found booktalk.org from an internet search and I'm quite excited for the possibilities it offers

Currently my favorite is Interesting Times by Terry Pratchett but I also love to read all types of books. I'm pretty open to all genres.
I finished the Hunger Games series and it was amazing. The third book is my favorite of the series hands down. Tell me what you think of it when you read it.

Hello and welcome.
I tend to read different genres than you do. I like fiction, romance, mystery, crime drama, women's lit. YA mostly. Sometimes I'll read non fiction too.
I did recently just finish the hunger game series. oh wow I loved loved loved it!

About Terry Pratchett, I believe I read on here (another forum) that I could start in the middle with Guards Guards I don't really want to get into a huge series of books can I read just Interesting Times and start there or should I start with Guards? How many books are there? Have you read them all?

I started with Interesting Times and haven't read them all yet. If I remember correctly, I was sort of confused but still able to enjoy the book.
