Everyone:

The time is right for going out and getting a copy of this book! I'll have mine this afternoon.

And please notice we now have a very cool chat room. Check out the Chat Room forums for additional information. The chat room is accessible from the bottom of each and every page on the BookTalk site.

Cheryl:

I'm only half way through Chapter 2 but I'm loving this book. Where are you at so far?

Hey all,

Sorry I haven't been posting, but I was on vacation last week and made it a point to do things other than get on the computer. I did get the book, though, and I'm presently on Chapter 3. It's very interesting so far.

I'm about half way through chapter 4. Parts of chapter 3 had me in tears. This stuff really gets to me. I'm going to start a new thread with some thoughts on what I've read so far but I won't comment too far ahead.

Since I'm a strong believer in Native rights and values, I would have to say that this book is very accurate and does not portray anything false or racist about Native people in general!
