Is it too late to join the discussion of Guns, Germs, and Steel?

I'm watching the NatGeo series today (and I'd like to come back and contribute to the discussion of the video later), but I do own the book and I read it years ago without finishing it. I'd like to finish it now and contribute to the upcoming book discussion, if possible. :)

P.S. I've been a member for a while but this is my first time participating in a discussion, so I wasn't sure what the protocol is for late-joiners!

Thank you, Saffron, for the warm welcome! I gotta go wake up my son from his nap for now and go play in the snow with him. Hehe. But I'll be back tonight, hopefully after watching the NatGeo series! I'm so excited about this discussion, not only because it's my first but because it's about one of my all-time favorite books!
