Polygamy in Beirut - a MUST read!

Unread post

EveryoneI'm not sure where to post this, but I know it will get read in this forum. We have a "News" forum, but it seems very few people ever check what is posted there. I see the number of people who have "viewed" each thread and it makes me realize I might be wasting my time posting there. Sometimes not even one member will view a thread even though it has been posted for weeks. It makes it difficult to communicate with you all.I just created a few threads and they just don't fit anywhere else. I would really appreciate if you checked the News forum whenever you log into BookTalk, as it sometimes contains important information. For instance...I would like to start inviting scientists and authors the first Thursday of every month to be our guest in the chat room. This is a subject we should all discuss, but if you don't know the thread is there then there won't be a discussion. I really would rather not send emails to people, but when the News forum goes unread I don't see an alternative. (And please don't respond about the chat guests here...go to "The News Room" to do so! Please check it out regularly folks!I just created a 2003 Chat Calendar too. This thread will be up permanently so check back with it if you are ever wondering about when a particular chat session is scheduled. Chris Edited by: Chris OConnor  at: 10/30/05 4:34 pm

I think there is something wrong with the view stats, since I have several times noticed that the number of views on a thread I have viewed is still at zero.So far as this thread is concerned, the title may have been a bad idea.I ignored the thread for some time despite its "must read" because I'm not really interested in polygamy in Beirut.

Well I jumped right into this thread, but felt cheated. Then I felt cheap. Now I feel dirty.

XilogHow can you not be interested in polygamy in Beirut? LOL I got rid of the "views" count on every forum since they do seem to be inaccurate regularly.LanDroidLOL Chris Edited by: Chris OConnor  at: 10/30/05 4:35 pm
