Was it just me or was this last chapter totally amazing? I would read the whole book just for this one chapter. The way the mind reconstructs reality is completely fascinating to me. I wish I knew more about linguistics and semiotics and the various theories that run contrary to the ones presented here to be more conversive on the subjects. I guess this is why I am anticipating Blank Slate so much.Even still, I wish I had a better understanding of where the experts differ on these issues. Sometimes it seems that the best way to understand something is to analyze its critics.

The best place to go for more depth of the ideas of the final chapters is probably a book Dawkins mentions: Blackmore, The Meme Machine. In his introduction Dawkins admits that Blackmore may have gone just a hint over the top... but its fascinating all the same.

I've yet to get to the last chapter so stop tempting me to cheat and read it right now! Chris
