Zen Mind, Empty Mind

Unread post

I am the author of this book, "Zen Mind, Empty Mind". If some one is interested in doing a research on emptiness, this book will be of not much value. If some one is interested in exploring what emptiness is and experience it, this book would help.

It is a short book. Speaking a lot about emptiness does not make much sense, is what I believe. One has to experience it and allow the inner transformation to happen. This book has some theory about emptiness, explained in a simple manner and a technique of meditation, working with the energy body/inner body that would help one experience emptiness.

Why would someone want their mind to be filled with emptiness?

Hi Chris,

Thank you for a beautiful question. The original nature of the mind is Emptiness. The thoughts come and go. As the frequency of this (thoughts appearing and vanishing) is so high, we forget that there is emptiness supporting the thoughts. In other words, underlying the thoughts, there is just emptiness.

When we are tuned to the emptiness and stay as the observers of the thoughts, the mind is transformed. A transformed mind has higher potential.

It is from emptiness, highly creative thoughts come. One becomes more intuitive. At the physical level, there would be better health. When there is stress, it shows up as physical illness. This happens only when one is attached to the thoughts. When the impermanence of the thoughts is realized and when one is established in emptiness, life is more peaceful.

Hope it gives some clarity.

Good day!
