I have Words and Rules; I've found it a rough read (I gave up 1/3 through, dunno if I will finish it or not). How the Mind Works is the only Pinker I've been able to find on tape, always a plus for me. The Language Instinct is one of the Important Books. Science is neither a philosophy nor a belief system. It is a combination of mental operations that has become increasingly the habit of educated peoples, a culture of illuminations hit upon by a fortunate turn of history that yielded the most effective way of learning about the real world ever conceived. JeremyWhere do you find these on tape? Barnes & Nobles doesn't have them. And I would need them on CD...as my car has a CD player and thats where I listen to audio books.I've got tons of Audio Books such as Stephen Hawkins "The Universe in a Nut Shell" and "A Brief History of Time." Plenty of others. But I didn't think Pinkers stuff was on audio book.Chris "When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always want to be."

Amazon has it on audio cassette - How the Mind Works. Right now there's a used copy available for $10.00.Although Amazon's prices are always good on regular books, sometimes they are way out of line on audio or video; so I generally just do a web search on google for the title I'm looking for. Ah! Here's The Language Instinct on tape, for

I've found that Barnes & Nobles charges about $50 for most audio books. This is ridiculous in my opinion. I'll take your lead and start looking online. When our new Home page is developed there will be all sorts of new links that will be of value to members. Perhaps we need one for ordering audio books.Chris "When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always want to be."
