Finished the book today. A scathing indictment of religion, indeed. And I've just begun to soften a little on the topic. Well, I think Grayling may have offered the best its gonna get: make religion a private matter and keep it OUT of the body politic. Not any day soon, I'm afraid, but perhaps sooner than it goes away altogether. If you make yourself really small, you can externalize virtually everything. Daniel Dennett, 1984
