A good fireside book

Last night I tried reading The March by firelight. The flickering light adds to the feel of the book, but my eyes weren't quite up to it, had to turn on some modern light for help. I might try it again with a bigger fire, or try candle light. I don't have an oil lamp. Anyone else willing to try this?

Depending on how fast you read, you might try lighting the pages on fire that you just finished. The flames provide ample light and mood, and you should be in good shape if you keep reading quickly. I actually read so fast that the pages catch on fire all on their own. It's quite pleasant.
