Yeah, I never understood why people blame humans for the evils of religion. The religious authorities or apologists would have us believe that the Inquisition, the beheadings and suicide bombings by Islamofascists, were perpetrated by people who distorted the meaning of their religious doctrine. But ask them to clarify that meaning, and you will get 33,830 responses (the 2001 edition of the World Christian Encyclopedia actually counts 33,830 denominations of Christianity). An omnipotent, all-knowing, loving deity would never let so much confusion arise in the first place. Nobody ever wonders if the Nazi had misinterpreted Hitler's "Mein Kampf". Why should religion get a different treatment?Thanks for the warm welcome!
