Missed hints / significance of side stories

Unread post

Just finished reading American Gods, and I have a few lingering questions.

Q1: what was the significance of cyber boy killing the prostitute with the limo. I know she was a god, but why did we have to read about it?

Q2: the side stories about leprechauns, were these about the guy that teaches Shadow the coin tricks and freezes to death? I'm referring to the story where the old lady still honors the tricksters from her old country.

Q3: do all the side stories match up with characters in the text? I can't figure out the connections of the djinn/taxi guy scene. Or, do I just accept this scene as ...

Q4: were there hints that Wednesday was Shadow's dad? Looking back, I guess I could have figured it out; shadow didn't know his dad, Wednesday is with lots of women. It was a shocker for me.

I read this text sporadically over 8 months. So, I feel the tucked away symbolism and hints were missed.
