You have to go to your profile and add your Lat & Long. You can also look it up on the map by clickin under the Longitude header. The map dynamic is a bit rough...but works.

Hi Chris,
I've added my long and lat in my profile, as close as I could get, anyhow. I still don't show up on the map.
I should be showing up in northern Canada.
Thanks, Jan. |

Hi Jan,
The map feature is sure not easy to use. I'm going to talk to Indie about finding something a bit more intuitive.
The process for placing a push pin is as follows...
1. Click on "Profile" to get into your own profile
2. Scroll down till you see "Search my coordinate" directly below the word "Longitude." Click on "Search my coordinate"
3. Now click on where you live in the map that pops up.
4. Wherever you clicked will move to the center of your screen. Now click the zoom in button (it is the + sign) several times till you are zoomed in as close as you want to be. You don't have to zoom all the way in to your house!
5. As you zoom in if your location moves out of the center click on the map exactly where you live again. Once again the map will center on your home.
6. Once you are zoomed in as close as you want to be click the "Pin Location" button.
7. Now type a short message into the "Text Google Map" box - this will be the message people read when they view your push pin on the map. |

Hi Chris,
Thanks - your directions made it simple. I'm on the map! |
