About Blog Spam
Indie has cleaned up the Blogs of most of the spam that had accumulated. As most of you know the Blogs are a new addition to our community, and Blogs are notorious for being the targets of spam. I think my Blog had 900 spam comments to just one of my posts. But things should be fixed now and spammers should have a harder time doing that kind of stuff again. Let me know if you see any additional spam after today. And be VERY careful about changing the settings in your blog control panel. If you make it possible for guests to post on your blog you can expect to see spam eventually. Right now we have it set so that only registered users can post.
Are the post times strange to you?
If the timestamps on posts are different than your time zone you need to go into your profile and change the time zone to your own. This will fix things. |

"Items" link gone for now
We deleted the "Items" link you used to see below your avatars. Eventually, we will be using a credit system where you can earn credits for various accomplishments or contributions. With credits you can purchase "stuff." But we're not ready to implement that system so we did away with the "Items" link for now.
Photo Album improved
The photo album is being simplified. I deleted the categories for "Admininstrator" and "Moderators" as there is no reason to have our photos seperate from everyone elses. It added unnecessary clutter to the Album page.
I've doubled the acceptable photo size too. It used to be 800 x 600 pixels. Now you can add much larger pics of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels. And the actual file sizes can be MUCH bigger - up to 1.2MB. So add some quality photos!
Games categories
Soon the games will all be displayed on the main Games page. No more going into folders to search for your favorite games. |
