..but did you not also post something about draining the blood from a human being entirely and the body was still alive or came back to life...something stupid like that.
No they chill it into a state of suspended animation and remove the blood. The body is legally dead but can still be revived. I'd simply discard the story too if I'd heard it from a poster rather then something on discovery.
Its nothing spectacular really. Ever heard the saying "they're not dead until they're warm and dead"?
There was also something on that show about a guy getting hit by a car, being declared legally dead, then being declared alive by the morticians and revived three days later. Also not that stunning since there's a reason they do those checks on a body before embalming it.
Maybe the show stretched the truth to make it more entertaining. I brought it up because I was hoping someone had heard about it. I wanted to know more because the idea was intriguing.

This all ties into your wish fulfilment about god and other realities.
I have no need for that I'm a pantheist, to me god is just an interpritation of the universe. All those times I defended theism I wasn't defending my beliefs I was defending those of others.
I don't really believe much of anything. Basically I believe there is no answer to all the questions we have in life. I think people should stop being so damn sure that they have the answer and I'm not just talking about theism vs athiesm. Everyone is so sure that their one way is right. People destroy each others lives trying to force that one way on one another. In the end its all a waste.
I used to be like that, I thought my way was right, but in time I learned to take a step back from my opinions and I'm happier for it. Extremism only leads to pain, it hurts everyone.
Need some support for this claim?
I notice that the longest thread on this board is entitled "belief in god". It's gone on for dozens of pages. I haven't read the thread, but if its really just something inane no matter there's bound to be serveral other long threads about the same subjet. Now I'm sure you'll claim something along the lines of "its so long because the theists keep using circular logic". I have a feeling the theists would say the same about the Athiests.
I believe that the root of your disagreement is some fundamental difference in the way you view the world. You're different, not better or worse, just different. I doubt that you'll ever understand each other. You need to both just let it go.
