The Grey American: A Satire on Extremism and Apathy
After three and a half years, I've finally published my first book. Please let me know what you think if you have the time. I'm happy to answer any questions.
Back Cover Summary:
Just another former high-profile lobbyist struck down by the worst recession in decades, Ethan Grieco invents a business model that, with any luck, will carry him off the poverty-stricken streets of downtown Buffalo for good. He'll provide a service in Washington D.C. that will insure the emotions of public figures. A satire on America, Lobbying for the Grey American raises serious issues about extremism and apathy dominating politics, the food industry, and the medical and religious communities. A neurotic Ethan endeavors to find his time in the midst of criminals robbing post offices for their stamps, churches resembling a theme park inside a national art gallery, hospitals acting like retail stores, corporations making citizen's arrests, and words losing substance, all while battling the demons of insomnia and depression that have plagued him since his early childhood.
Press Release: Biting the Radical Hands Grey Moderates Feed
Lost your mind? Sinking in the cesspool of corruption? Let EmóSurance safeguard your sanity. Here’s the true story of a fictional character, Ethan Grieco, who capitalizes on the fragile emotions of the politicians occupying Washington, giving them a taste of their own medicine free of charge. After all, they’re covered; they have the world’s best medical insurance for life.
Lobbying for the Grey American author Ryan Jeffrey Grieco says it like it is, and then, he says a little more. As a man who’s lived in the Rust Belt (Buffalo, Dayton, and Evansville) all his life, Ryan knows it’s time someone took a harsh stance on harsh stances. It’s time hospitals stopped stealing from the playbooks of retail outlets. It’s time religious institutions exorcised the glamour they embraced to increase membership. It’s time Americans suppressed our hunger for insipid political correctness and digested what it means to be a better person. And it’s time politicians worshiped the voters, not their acrylic furniture, not their moniker towels, not their Bengal cats.
Let this satire double as your soapbox, your alternative “medicine,” your coaster. It’ll compel you to put your foot down and say, “Enough is enough. America belongs to the moderates, the ones who drive this nation, not the minority of radicals who steer it.” No longer should pedestals be reserved for sex-addicted scumbags and entitled embezzlers.
The invaluable truth is that the Grey Americans are the ones who make this country great, but while they’re busy being productive members of society, they’ve not had anyone speaking on their behalf…until now. Lobbying for the Grey American is available in print and on the Kindle at Amazon.

Targeted to a narrow audience perhaps, but I guess that includes me. Your synopsis made me snort-laugh, I will add this to my list.
