In light of the kind of discussion that can be had on the internet, i thought people might be interested in knowing exactly what is going on when a person makes blatantly contradictory statements, someone else utterly destroys those arguments and the original person continues to use those thoroughly dismantled arguments as though they were useful, and informative.

As to your question, I know full well what happens, the discredited premise becomes so ubiquitous that it assumes the status of 'urban legend' and become nearly impossible to erradicate. That is why it is important, to me at least, to stand up when I see incorrect information (e.g. TEoG) presented by a so called expert. While Wright provided a disclaimer that he was not an expert on the Bible, such a disclaimer is a shield; it allows the deflection of ciriticism if errors are detected but is generally forgotten by the readers. The assumption is that the material is correct and has been checked. In TEoG I showed that was not the case. I have found that many of the questions about errors in the Bible are a matter of the verse taken out of context. Yet, I suspect that despite the legion of apologetics sites which have dealt with those verses, they will continue to be presented as evidence of the Bible's flaws.

Let me ask one question?
When I first stated with BT, I was given a list of questions/problems with the Bible, some of them by you I think. Some of those issues were shown to be bogus by referring to the verses around the problem text. Did you contact the website you got the obejction from to suggest that that issue be removed?

Johnson 1010 that was a very interesting film clip. Only wish the sound on my video watching was louder as I have trouble hearing. I am posting the above to see if Stahrwe will have a comment on it or ignore it like he has my posts on the DNA testing, which he will declare he has responded to but has not.

Interested parties can plow through the discussion if they are interested. Somewhere in there are responses admitting that the context of verses had not been checked before posting and once the context was, it completely obliterated the criticism. As for snails, I had an article from a biologist using the same terminology.

Alas, when you starte repeating points it is time to end the meeting.

It may very well be that the DK Effect appears in Christian writings but I submit that it does at least with equal frequency with Atheists (e.g. TEoG). At least Christians do no claim to be objective.
